别克全新一代君越将搭载的这台1.5T发动机，目前已经在别克昂科威等车型上使用。这款通用汽车Ecotec 1.5T SIDI直喷涡轮增压发动机拥有多项先进技术，包括DVVT进排气连续可变气门正时系统、ETC电子节气门、一体式点火线圈等，可在进一步提高发动机燃油性的同时迸发出接近2.4L自然吸气发动机的动力。在传动方面，与这台发动机匹配的将是7速双离合变速箱。

现款别克君越所搭载的2.4L自然吸气发动机，因其排量较高，车价中税率部分包括了9%的消费税、17%的增值税等。其中增值税相对固定，因此消费税率的高低对车辆售价的影响更为重要。消费税由生产企业或是进口汽车企业向税务机关缴纳，但最终会体现在车价当中。

别克君越搭载1.5T涡轮增压发动机后，所对应的消费税率为3%，相比现款车型的税率下调了6个百分点。以目前别克君越车型23.59万元的入门车价计算，相当于减少约1.4万元左右。同时，加之中国政府对于购买1.6L及以下排量车型实施购置税减半的优惠政策，全新君越相比现款车型的性价比将进一步提升。

动力方面，别克全新君越将使用的这台1.5T Ecotec发动机，最大功率为124千瓦，峰值扭矩达到250牛米。相比现款君越搭载的2.4L自然吸气发动机，最大功率少13千瓦，峰值扭矩多10牛米。通过上述比较可看出，搭载1.5T发动机的车型在动力上与2.4L基本持平，但是在价格方面比后者将更具优势。

除了在动力上使用“小排量”发动机以外，新一代君越在车身尺寸方面也将全面提升，据工信部公布的信息显示，1.5T车型的长宽高分别为5018*1866*1459mm，而2.0T车型的高度则为1461/1469mm。轴距方面，国产新一代君越达到了2905mm，比现款车型加长了68mm。这样的数据已经接近定位于C级车的丰田皇冠，可以说在别克林荫大道停止生产后，别克君越在加长后将填补这一细分市场的空白。
